Please click on Uniform Guidelines for a full description of our uniform. Students at Mountain View Academy are required to wear the appropriately designated school uniform; there are a variety of alternatives and options depending upon the occasion or student grade level.

Consult the school calendar to determine the appropriate uniform choice. However, circumstances will arise throughout the year when full uniform will be required. As such, students will be given a minimum day's notice. Consequently, students are expected to have full uniforms clean, pressed and otherwise prepared throughout the school year.

We feel that the uniform helps promote a state of mind that is conducive for learning. We take education seriously and expect the same from our students as well. By starting each day in the same frame of mind, we remove many unnecessary distractions and help mentally prepare and remind us why we are all here: to learn, to grow, to succeed.

Some students have even commented that when they get home, they stay in uniform until homework has been completed, thereby keeping them in that same state of mind. At the same time, students are motivated to completed homework sooner rather than leaving it until later in the evening.
