Mountain View Academy Exam Week Expectations

Students will arrive at 8:45 or 12:45 as usual on exam day

• report to the room of the scheduled exam instead of homeroom
• students writing pre-scheduled achievement or diploma exams may consider arriving earlier

Once an exam begins, there are no breaks to leave the room

• every attempt is made to keep disruptions to a minimum.
• sharpen your pencil, go to the washroom, and drink your water before the exam.
• time will be provided between 8:45 and 8:55 or 12:45 and 12:55
• time will be modified for students writing pre-scheduled achievement where necessary

Students are NOT permitted to have cell phones and devices using headphones during the exam sessions

• they must be powered off and left with the teacher (or in your locker)
• there are to be NO exceptions

Students who finish an exam early, should use this time to review, revise and edit test responses

• every attempt is made to provide all students with equal exam writing conditions.

Students not writing an exam are not expected to be in the school

• unless arrangements have been made for tutoring or extra help in advance.

Students with permission to leave upon dismissal are expected to do so

Textbooks are to be returned before the related exam begins

This is a full uniform week.
Students are not to be in the building without full uniform regardless of the time of
day or activity within which they are involved.
