Language Arts
To read and to write effectively, are the most important tools students acquire during their formative years. These skills form the building blocks for future academic success. The Language Arts program begins with phonetic based reading instruction, formal spelling lessons and whole language. Novels and reading comprehension assignments are added to further develop reading proficiency. As children advance through the grades increased importance is placed on formal note taking, debating and public speaking. A love for literature and writing is nurtured throughout the Language Arts curriculum.
